This is one of two pieces that I’ll be exhibiting along side 13 others at the Mall Galleries in London, as part of the ‘Illustrato.rs’ exhibition which runs from 30th April - 4th May (just down the road from the Queen!) - exciting!
My entires for this year’s ‘Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology’ book cover
Last weekend I took part in the 24 hour comic challenge, where the challenge is, believe it or not, to make a 24 page comic within the time period of 24 hours. I made mine in 14 because I like my sleep. Its based on the song Burma-Shave by Tom Waits, and my own personal challenge was not to use the computer in the image making, so I can assure you its 100% gouache, pencil crayon and happy mistakes; here are a few of the spreads. You’ll be able to see my work and that of lots of other talented folk exhibited in F block at Bower Ashton Campus from this Monday (see event here) and if you want to enjoy some booze whilst doing so, then get there between 5 and 7.
i’ve been experiencing what i felt was a bad case of fevery man flu over past week. & managed to get barely any work done. so here’s some illustrations of what i was doing instead
